New Information: All wedding guests are invited to this family-friendly meet and greet the night before the wedding. Drop in anytime between 6:30-8:30pm. A BBQ dinner and soft drinks will be served and lawn games will be played.
We had to move the sail on the Vista to later in the evening, so dinner will now be served at the Family Center at Bayfront Festival Park nearby.
We will walk directly to the Vista dock around 8:30pm (5 min walk).
ATTIRE
Casual
Anything goes, from shorts and flip flops to nautical sundresses and sailor hats. Be comfortable! There will be indoor and outdoor space.

From I-35 in either direction, take exit #256B to Lake Avenue. Travel southeast on S. Lake Avenue, and take a right on W. Railroad Street. Bayfront Festival Park and parking lot will be on the left.

Parking is available in the Bayfront lot, as well as at DECC parking lot nearby.
Walking from Pier B
Exit the lake-facing doors and head across Pier B’s private bridge. Walk north through Bayfront Festival Park to the Family Center.
SUNSET Sail Aboard the Vista Star

A sail on the Vista is a classic way to enjoy the view of Lake Superior and Duluth’s shore and harbor. All wedding guests are invited to join us for cocktails and toasts aboard the Vista Star on the night before the wedding. Alcohol and soft drinks will be served.
New Information: We had to push the start time of this event back. Children are still welcome - please note that the cruise will run from 9-11pm. Boarding begins promptly at 8:45pm - don’t be left on shore!

Anything goes, from shorts and flip flops to nautical sundresses and sailor hats. The boat has indoor space, but if you’d like to see the view from the outdoor deck, consider bringing a wrap or light jacket.

From I-35 in either direction, take exit #256B to Lake Avenue. Travel southeast on S. Lake Avenue, and take a right on W. Railroad Street. Turn left on Harbor Drive. The dock is located on the harbor side of the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center (DECC) across from the Vista ticket office.
Parking
Parking is available at the DECC parking lot near the Duluth 10 Theater, as well as the lot across the Minnesota Slip Bridge near Grandma’s Sports Garden.
Walking from Bayfront
Walk toward Lake Superior until you get to Harbor Drive. Walk northwest until you arrive at the Vista Fleet Excursion Dock across the street from the ticket office.
Ceremony and Reception at Glensheen
Saturday, July 20 | 5pm
We’re delighted to have you with us as we get married in the backyard of Minnesota’s most visited historic home, Glensheen Mansion.
Cocktail hour on the terrace will follow, and guests will be free to tour the mansion.
Our reception will be held in a tent on the grounds. We’ll also have access to the shore of Lake Superior.

Think sundresses, pastels and floral prints, summer suits in lighter hues, even fun hats and fascinators. Note, this will primarily be an outdoor event.

Driving
From downtown Duluth, travel north on I-35. Take exit #259 and merge onto MN-61 N / London Road toward the North Shore. Look for signs on the right, and turn right into the venue parking lot.
